Academic Counselting
The duties and responsibilities of academic advisors are defined in Nevşehir University Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations as follows;
ARTICLE 8 -
(1) Academic counsellors are appointed from among the academic staff and notified to the Rectorate with the recommendation of the department heads and the decision of the relevant unit executive boards before the start of the academic year in order to help students solve their educational, personal and administrative problems.
(2) Academic counsellors allocate two hours a week during the academic year to help the students assigned to their responsibility to solve their other problems as well as their registration renewal, course selection and graduation procedures.
(3) Academic advisors may limit the total credits of the courses to be taken by the students assigned to their responsibility below the maximum course load, taking into account the success status of the students assigned to their responsibility, provided that they adhere to the principles set out in this Regulation.
(4) Other issues regarding the duties and responsibilities of advisors are determined by the relevant units.
